Further down the coast from Coffs Harbour is Yarriabini National Park, which will fulfill all your hiking and adventure desires!

Adventure lover

Arakoon National Park has plenty to offer thrill seekers. There are both powered and unpowered camp sites, depending on your preference (sites 1-19 are unpowered, and overlook the languid waters of Trial Bay). For those of you searching for some more amenities, there are 86 other sites situated around the gaol ruins, which offer a kitchen, showers, toilets, and drinking water. Trial Bay Gaol is a great place to explore if you want a taste of history - it dates back to the 19th century and is part of Australia's European settlement. Arakoon is also suited to the wildlife lover - Fish Rock Cave is sometimes home to grey nurse sharks, making it the perfect spot for a scuba diving session, and Port Macquarie offers some of the best vantage points to watch whales undertake their annual migration between May and November.
