Long Weekend Getaways

Adventure lover

If you’re wanting some winter wonderland adventure, Mansfield is the perfect destination (although it's a beaut all year-round)! There’s easy access to Mount Buller ski resort in winter, as well as Mount Stirling, ideal for those looking forward to carving up the slopes. Hiking, fishing, horse riding and hang gliding are the most popular activities in the tepid months in this region. Mansfield also has a zoo and nearby Lake Eildon National Park, for those looking for wildlife action.

During holidays or even ordinary days, Victoria beaches are inviting to be experienced with loved ones.

Family Fun

Johanna Beach is the perfect backdrop for romance. Based along the Great Ocean Road’s stunning coastline, nestled in Victoria’s Great Otway Park there’s plenty to explore with hiking trails and sea views, as well as fishing and surfing. It’s a scenic drive from Melbourne, and is also dog friendly. The drive along Great Ocean Road is half the fun, with plenty of breathtaking spots to explore along the way, including the famous Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge.

Rest, relaxation, romance

If you’re wanting a romantic getaway out in nature, take a few days to explore the Grampians. Among the breathtaking scenery along hiking trails (such as Mackenzie Falls, the Pinnacle, and Boroka lookout) there’s plenty to explore here. J Ward Museum in Ararat was once a prison in the gold rush era, and later a psychiatric asylum but is now open to the public to tour. If you’re wanting an exciting afternoon playing tourist, make sure you check this place out, and follow it up with the Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre!
