The Iceland Touring Cars rental fleet

There are nine different categories of rentals available with Touring Cars, covering all the bases.

  • Caravans: If you prefer to use your own car, or already have a car booked, you can hire a caravan to attach to your tow bar and take with you. There are small, medium, and family options available, and all three include bathrooms and kitchens.

  • Budget: The budget category comprises slightly older vehicles that have travelled over 100,000km, but are still totally reliable and practical. They still include a bathroom and shower, and can vary in model and year.

  • Mini Camper: The Mini Camper is the smallest rental available, making it more fuel efficient and easy to drive around cities. It includes basic cooking gear and a bed for two in the back.

  • Vans: The van category is the newest in the Touring Cars fleet, and even though they are compact and easy to drive, they still offer a small kitchen and bathroom, as well as a dining area and bed space for two.

  • Family: The Family category is designed for up to six people, with a full kitchen, small bathroom, and dining space. Plus, there’s plenty of storage room for toys and sports gear.

  • Large: The Large motorhome category features vehicles with three double beds, a huge amount of storage space, a dining area, and a bathroom and shower.

  • Medium: A Medium motorhome offers a more compact body for easier driving, but with space for four adults to live comfortably. This includes bathroom and kitchen facilities.

  • Small: The Small category is perfect for couples with space for two, with a kitchen, bathroom, and living/dining area for comfortable travel.

  • Luxury: Opt for a luxury motorhome with space for up to four adults and enjoy all the finer details, such as a TV and DVD player, and premium kitchen equipment.

Iceland depots for Touring Cars

Like most motorhome rental companies, there is just one depot in Iceland, which is close to the major Keflavik Airport, just down the road from capital city Reykjavik. The team from Touring Cars will pick you up on arrival and give you a ride to their depot to pick up your motorhome.

There are two major road trips on the island of Iceland, known as the Golden Circle and the Ring Road. The Golden Circle is a short road trip that will introduce you to a handful of fantastic Icelandic attractions just outside of the capital, including the ever-popular Blue Lagoon. The Ring Road is a much longer drive that circumnavigates the entire island, including some of the Golden Circle and an array of black beaches, glaciers, lagoons, and more.
